Coaching or Therapy?
Coaching and therapy can both be helpful, but they have different focuses and approaches:
Coaching focuses on the future, action, and personal growth. Coaching is for those generally functioning well but need guidance in specific areas of their lives. Coaching aims to drive change toward results.
Therapy focuses on the past and present, healing, and understanding emotional pain. Therapists often explore the reasons behind a client's behaviors and thought patterns, and help them heal from past traumas. Therapy is for people who are dealing with depression, suicidal thoughts, or relationship issues. Therapy must be done by a licensed mental health professional. Therapy aims to heal inner wounds for client's to become coachable.
